Yeah. I asked my dad why I was not named Ricardo and he said since I was born in America I should have an American name. I was a bit miffed as as a teen as Ricardo sounds pretty cool, but all-in-all, I'm glad he went with Richard.

I remember on MTV in the early 90s "Ricardo Suave"...

Keurig is far better than going without. (Really can’t believe I just said that.)
Exactly. It's like being a thermionic gourmet on a road trip with your Vali 3, only to discover you've selected tubes from your drawer of shame, not your drawer(s) of exquisite gain. Your choice then is between a noisy GE no-star 5670 or an adapted ECG 12AU7 or listening to the lifeless opamp in your laptop. 🤣

re: drinking soda (or pop or whatever.) 30 years ago I swore off all fast food and all soda. I did so because my cholesterol was too high and I was "borderline diabetic." Also, my doctor told me that artificial sweeteners used in soda can cause kidney stones, which I had developed before then. After making this change, I shed 30 lbs in about 3 months (which has stayed off) and my sugar and total cholesterol levels were back in the normal range. Plus, no kidney stones and less night time acid reflux due to build up of carbolic acid from carbonation.

You do you, but this worked for me.

The most ballsy thing I’ve seen since I moved to Texas:
A dude in a 1st-gen Smart on the freeway.
Some (all?) of the freeways around Dallas are pretty crazy for me.
60mph is the general freeway limit over here, with 70mph on what you might call the Interstates.
But the metro freeways in Dallas were 80+ mph (not posted, but actual) at least in many cases. I think there were 12 or 14 lanes nearby to DFW all doing this ..... Yikes.
A 1st Gen smart car would be a bug in the grille of the pickups

(Although rumor has it one can make espresso with the AP.)
Hm...no...absolutely not!!! :)
But if you like drinking espresso and wish to make it at home, this is a budget-friendly option—and it does make excellent espresso!
Picopresso
With this grinder, you can't miss it!

Cheers!

"Just Say No" to all carbonated soft drinks.

Yeah...was a big soda drinker as a kid and through young adult life (switching to diet coke). A Doctor/Friend in our neighborhood told me that, if there was one thing to get rid of in my diet, he'd recommend to cut soda (even diet soda).

Just don't go into pour over coffee brewing since it's a PITA to get extremely consistent brews. One day you'll be like it's the best tasting ever then the following day you'll be like what the bleep I did every step the same as yesterday but why my coffee taste like crap haha :confounded:

Stick with Aeropress or French press for the sake of your sanity hehe

I’ve had no trouble getting a consistent brew with my chemex. Especially since I learned to stir the grounds in the water. I used to just let it drip away and then add more water till the kettle was empty.

This video helped a lot. Just that little extra step of stirring while brewing brought more of the flavors out. I haven’t had a bad cup since.
