Regardless of what your opinion is on metal, watch this in its entirety and tell me that this lady's vocal range and ability doesn't blow your mind.

Have you heard of instrumental metal? I didn't until last week. Don't know if that's the official name but that's what I call it. I heard of a band called Pelican and their album Australasia is as metal as it can get (IMHO) instrumentally but it's devoid of lyrics. I like it.

Breaking Away is a movie worth watching. Meanwhile, in this Galaxy sometime last century, I would coast downhill (on a bike) from the top of Topanga Canyon to Woodland Hills, or the Top of the Sepulveda Pass to Sherman Oaks. Both start at the top the Santa Monica Mountains in the Los Angeles area and end up in the San Fernando Valley.
I don't know how fast I was going, but it was frightengly fun.
Oh, a musical connection. Topanga Canyon is northwest of Los Angeles, and used to be the lair of outlaws, then pre-WWII gangsters, Then outlaw bikers (who never left), then beatniks, n hippies like Young Neil (he was, back then), Canned Heat, and currently cookie cutter flavorless housewives in HOA Condominiums.
Excuse the errors of my memory. "If you can remember the 60's, you weren't there."
I bought a (ahem) Young Neil Young bootleg LP around 1973. Sound quality was ass. But, there was a great version of a song, and Neil has released the whole show with maybe great quality. If I ever meet him I will give him $1 in royalties, and maybe even interest and punitive damages.

Sugar Mountain
Then there is Hoosiers, one of my favorite sports movies of all time.🤪 I did work with the insurance agency owned by the guy who hit the big shot. The movie was based on an actual event.

my wife visited San Antonio to see friends a few months ago, they went to Boerne to get ice cream cones and she told me Boerne was the one place she visited that she would move to. She did like San Antonio.
Yeah, we found that the Hill Country is the only part of Texas we could stand. It is roughly a big triangle from outskirts of San Antonio, out/over/up through Boerne to around Fredricksburg, then back to west side of Austin, then down to San Antonio…

So places like Boerne, Kerrville, Fredricksburg, Sisterdale, Wimberley, Canyon Lake, Dripping Springs, Luckenbach, etc… Lived there for 4 years. Our two issues: 1) hating duration and extent of Texas HAWT more than we hated New England Winters and cold, and 2) too far from family/friends; which mattered more than we had thought.

But, yeah, it’s by far the most scenic and tolerable part of Texas for living. Just too much humidity and heat… alas.

I hope Texans are not offended but I have always liked “Howdy Arabia” when describing Texas.😂

I love Genr Hackman...the guy is a legend.
Another favorite Gene Hackman movie is Heist. There are a couple movies with that name but this one also stars the singer Rebecca Pidgeon.(quite the hottie back then.) Her version of Spanish Harlem is an audio classic IMHO.

Honorable mention; the Canadian version of "y'all:" Yous. Which, somehow, manages to be equal parts awesome and cringe.

I feel seen. This is a fairly common phrase in the area where I grew up on Canada's east coast. Alas, my parents were big on proper English and reading reading reading, so I never acquired that common word, nor others. Yous guys are awesome!

Not really that 'secret' now that everyone on the internet knows about it. 🤣
But you have to know the precise bedroom in which it is located. Good luck with that.🤪
The lady also has two huge dogs for which you might only make a snack.🐶🐶

It's a NY and Crazy Horse song, that just predates Pearl Jam, but PJ play it fairly often in concert.

You had better hope that Finnegan did not hide some recently deceased rodent in that space for consumption as a midnight snack🐱😳.

lol well the vanity is now on the way home with the owner so it is a bit late for that. One task completed and now she wants me to build more items for her. Once I get the record changer back from @Adam Balm she may take that as well.
