SB3+Stello DA100

I have a setup very close to the one you are considering. Mine is squeezebox > DA 100 >single power ppx3 slam > DB's, RS1's or ATH 900ldt. I don't find the combination to be too warm at all. I do like my bass - but I also like plenty of detail & this combo seems to get it all! When I"m listening to cd's or SACD's I feed the DA100 with a Sony 555es. I can't say that there is much difference between the two sources except of course with the SACD's being superior & there the DAC is bypassed.

I don't find the SP amp THAT much more warm than some of the ss amps I have had. But everyone's ears are different. I guess when the DB's seem too dark for my tastes I switch to the RS1's & that seems to lighten everything up. As far as the DA 100 goes, I use it as you anticipate, with several different sources. It is a very versatile piece & I do enjoy that about it in addition to the great sound!

BTW guys , is there any benefits in such scheme ? :

Squeezbox > Stello > NAD C352 Line IN > NAD C352 Pre Out > Opera

Or it just will make things more complicated and degrade the sound quality ?
