saw 9 bose HP on flight

I flew this past weekend for the first time since discovering this site. there were like 8 bose headphones on my first flight. i was like "i should of worn my dennos or Senns, but then this russian chick who sat next to me busted out some HD600's. i was like "oh yeah" and i was gonna talk to her. but apparently her boyfriend bought them for her, so she had no idea they were better.

My thoughts exactly. I'm a Senn fan, but I think that the HD600 is not a good choice for flights. The noise from the engines will mask the lower frequencies, and they leak enough that you will disturb the other passengers if you listen at any reasonable volume.

i was thinking the same thing. she didn't bump the phones loud while she was watching a movie on her laptop.

I think the Bose headphones are a great choice if you fly often. I can't wear IEM's because my ears are very sensitive to air pressure. I don't know how regular closed cans like AT A900's, DT770's, D2000's would compare to active noise cancelling on the Bose sets. =T

Most airlines hand out bose in their upper tier classes, and most companies hand bose out for airline trips; it's just popular. But really, you didn't pay money for them
