I'm planning on hosting a mini-meet for Sunday June 13th, at 1pm-5pm.

I believe that I have enough chairs to accomodate but will be in need of some power conditioners/tables if people want to bring theirs.

Finally! Congrats on the new amp man. You bringing it to the SoCal meet, right?

I wish I could come to the San Jose meet, but the schedule just won't permit it. Bummer.

You better believe it, I want to run it against the BlockHead, think Mad Max, two go in, one comes out!

I'll also have the Grado PS-1s at the San Jose and So Cal meets, I should have them in within the next couple of weeks so they should just be broken in.

Cool, I am very interested in a mini-meet. I'm going to be in the bay area for 10 weeks during the summer, and it looks like I should be there during this weekend. I am finalizing the dates I will be there in the next week so I will be able to commit for sure soon, but for now I'd hope to make it!

Can bring Sostenuto-1 Portable DAC / Amp, Grado SR225, and probably more goodies that I buy by then

Can't wait for this meet. Right now I still have both my MPX3 plus my RKV. I sold my K1000s though - it would have been nice to try out the RKV/K1000 with another source. If someone else has one...

I just woke up ten minutes ago and got it confused with San Diego for some reason.

what sort of transportation options do I have from Berkeley to San Jose (I don't have a car.

Well, I can bring whatever you folks would like to hear and whatever space is available. I would like to bring two combinations for sure partly because I think they sound pretty good and partly because I would like to get some other folks opinions on them.

1) The Linn -> HP-4 -> HP-1 combo
2) The Meridian -> Gilmore Balanced -> PS-1 combo

Gpalmer, any chance on bring that HR-2? You mentioned before that you sent it to Ray for some changes - I would love to hear that amp again. And to see if the headphone/source combo was what made me sell it in the first place. Or if I'm really a tube guy after all...


The two combos you mentioned already has me drooling and my wallet shaking...

The HR-2 is a very nice combo particularly with the HD-650s, I'd be happy to bring it along, I always did want to get your feedback after the work Ray did, it was like a whole new amp!
