Okay, with the economy in the toilet, and my freelance sources drying up, I guess it's time to do some temp work.

Any recommendations for agencies in the SF/Bay Area? The only two I knew of are now out of business (another sign of the great times here).

I do design (web and print) and programming/database work (see simple portfolio at http://www.definingmoment.com), though general office work is what I'm expecting out of this search.

Thanks in advance.

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions. Craiglist is where a great deal of past resumes have routed through. It's a great site. Manpower isn't listing a SF location, which surprised me.

For office jobs, there's Premier Staffing (www.pstaffing.com) and Smith Hampton & Devlin (www.shdevlin.com), both in the SF financial district. I recommend Premier Staffing - though I wasn't able to get any long term jobs (aka, more than a week, and more often at most only a couple days), I did get jobs on a fairly consistent basis, their base pay is decent (I think either $13 or $15/hr), and they did really look out for me and gave me a heads up on interviews for permanent positions I might be interested in. I didn't have much luck with Smith Hampton, but I only used them for a little over a month.
