I can't compare them because I only have the Meizu M6.

What I can tell you is that the Meizu M6 has great options in terms of EQ and different sound settings. The Creative EP-630's are currently being paired with it and sound great. The Koss KSC-75's sound good too, but for some reason are unaffected by volume change on the player itself ... for reasons unknown to me. I have upgraded to the latest firmware fyi. Volume change within the player works fine for my Creative EP-630's. My cheap Fontopias also sound decent enough with the Meizu.

is it true that the meizu is a real pain putting in your pant pockets cuz of the touch pad thing? (especially for volume)?? and tahat the hold button doesnt exactly work all that well?

i know they are coming out with the m6 se( quite thinner and a 0.01 inch screen increase lol)

so i decided might as well since its so close to realse, but does anyone know the exact release in americas?

The hold button works exactly like any other, but it's very hard to switch on and off on the fly. It sits flush with the player and is very smooth, so...

I've never put it in my pants before, but I can work the touch pad through clothing and isn't hard to skip songs or the volume blindly at all.

I did not like the meizu when I had it .... Sure it looked really great. but the touchpad is too sensitive and the SQ was not my taste. I prefer Rio carbon and Ipod shuffle 1st gen.

I had both, and the Samsung T9 hisses less. The Meizu M6 is among the "hissiets" that I've owned, but then it doesn't matter at all if you have higher impedance phones, or use a volume attenuator.

the ep630 is an OEM rather than an IEM, so it won't hiss as much.

Your post just remind me, the observations in my post above are based on using IEMs. Using regular earbuds when outside, no hiss to concern about.

Yup I always put in the latest firmware. Maybe the hiss has gone down, but still hisses with the Shure E4c of course.

On the M6, make sure you turn off the Spatializer (in the Sound Effects menu). It's on by default (as shipped), and it causes hiss. If I turn it off, I don't hear any hiss through my Shure E4's.

I always use the hold switch when putting it in my pocket, because otherwise it's too easy to turn the volume wayyyyyy up by accident. I've never had the hold switch malfunction at all. So it's probably not the greatest for pocket use, I think. Actually my biggest gripe with the M6 is that there's no way to queue up songs (i.e. add to now-playing list). The screen is nice, and the price is good.
