Why is it that nearly evrybody changes the price to "SOLD" once the headphones/amp/source is gone? I understand that is a way of letting people know the item has sold, but I'm usually interested in the selling price. Wouldn't it be better to just edit the original post by putting "SOLD" at the very beginning so it showed up in the post preview?

The reason I mention this is because there are many members here (myself included) that have no idea what these items may be worth second or third hand, or if we are truly getting a deal (as a buyer) or selling stuff at a price that is fair to both parties.

Just curious.

some people dont want others to see the price. this might be because they dont want to show others how much they made.... every1 has their own reason

I know that if I post a thread and then go back later and edit the title, it will change the title on the thread itself but the changes I make will not show up in the actual forum. I don't know why it does this. I assume that this may be some sort of restriction placed on newer members. This may be one reason some members will change the price in the post body instead marking an item sold in the title area.

I agree that the price should be left in the thread so members can get an idea of the used market value of an item.

Not to sound like an ass, but this (although valid) topic has been discussed many times before. That said, I personally put sold just to piss people off. (j/k) Maybe . . .

Search function eh?

Sorry to start another topic on this but I wouldn't have known exactly what to search for.

I guess as long as the buyer and seller are happy that's all that matters. But, again, for someone new to the hobby, it can be tough figuring out what is a fair price for an item. I would never use eBay as a guide, since I've seen stuff sell there for WAY more than it was worth (this of course was stuff that I knew the worth of).

Anyway, I guess I have my answer, so I'll drop it. Thanks you all for your replies.
