Safe to make requests in Buy/Sell/Trade?

Hey Head-Fi,
 
I'm a long time lurker who finally got around to making an account. I was in the market for a Noble BTS (bluetooth solution) and was wondering if it was ever kosher to make requests in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum. I don't see anyone doing it but I didn't see any rules against it either.

Yeah, just select Wanted in the Type drop-down box on the upper left of the classified.
