Sad news for Lynyrd Skynyrd fans...

Wow, this is kinda scary. So, after having spent several hundred dollars on CDs this summer and getting fed up with high prices and now this copy-protection incident, I just bought a CD-burner. And I decided I had given the record industry enough of my money, so aside from classical and jazz CDs from places like Naxos, Telarc, and Chesky, I wasn't going to buy any more CDs. Well, I was at CVS buying my little brother a birthday card and I saw MCA has released 20th Century Masters: The Millenium Collection, a bunch of greatest hits albums of a very eclectic selection of artists they have from Steppenwolf to Judy Garland. Anyway, I couldn't resist the $9.99 price on the Lynyrn Skynyrd disc, so I bought it. Kinda spooky I guess that I happened to buy this CD on the day this guy died.

I read in today's paper that they are going to resume their tour on August 11 in Las Vegas. The rest of the tour will be considered a "tribute" to Leon Wilkeson.
