I'm probably looking at SA5000 or K701 to complement my HD650's.

I'm seeing huge SA5000 price variations.

In the UK I can pay £669 or £299 depending on where I buy.

In the US these seem readily available for $400 (£210), MSRP is $699 (£370)

On ebay I can get someone to send to me in the UK for AU$ 440 meaning £209 to me.

Thinking back, I bought my Senns for £189, list being £300.

Why the huge variations? I'm used to this from country to country, but within a country this surprised me.

Can the cheaper ones be counted on not to be fakes/seconds?

The ebay seller goes out of his way to promise they are genuine. Almost tries too hard.......

Thanks

It's normal for most things to have a gap between MSRP and street prices. You gotta research on how much are those big reputable online stores are selling at and you'll have a good idea on how much something should cost, too much deviation in either directions are not a good thing.
