Recently got a listen to this live CD (first time I've heard it in ages) through some well-encoded MP3's, and I just picked up a used copy of the CD (non-remastered, 1990 release) through half.com. Damned if this isn't an excellent recording from an audiophile perspective (even if the band is pretty raw sounding)... very natural "concert" sound, and if I close my eyes it feels like I'm at the concert, the illusion is fantastic -- whoever mic'ed and mastered this one did a great job imo. No studio futzing that I picked up on.

I wonder if the 1997 remaster is any good... I'm usually the type to skip remasters altogether, but if anyone's heard it I'd be curious.

Yes; that is a great Live Album!! I have the 1997 remaster and I think it sounds great.

There was definitely something special about those Live Concert recordings in the 70's. This one I beleive was from 1976.

How about the Drum Solo by Neil Peart; absolutely Classic!!

My first Rush album, ever, and still one of my favourites.

"...One...two...buckle...my...shoe..."

The "Exit, Stage Left" is pretty good also, and there is one new "Different Stages", that includes one CD with a recording from 1978 that is excellent also for the "Farewell to Kings" tour...

I received the CD today, and have to say that the remaster is better (even as MP3's). It seems they managed to remove a lot of hiss and low-end muddiness from the original, without hurting dynamic range and other things. Oh well.
