What earphones would you recommend for running?

I've never ran with music in my ears, but am considering it for a change. I have some skull candy earphones that I'm not proud of, so I'm in the market for some reliable earphones that will not drop no matter how fast I'm running (preferably, small budget).

Thanks, any recommendations appreciated!

if the skullcandies stay in your ears while you run, by all means, stick with them!

when you run, you dont listen that carefully anyways

I used to use a pair of Skullcandy Ink'd Buds to run with, that is, until I recently received my new iMetal 590's from Maximo. From what experience I've had so far with them, they're much better than my Skullcandy's, sound quality, build quality, and for exercise and running. They have a cloth-like wire as opposed to the traditional rubbery-type, which I feel has a much better quality and feel to it. They also come with 4 sets of silicone ear pieces, so it's not too hard to find one that fits well. I run the 590's over my ears with a set of these and then down the front and attach the wire to my shirt with the included shirt clip and together the two work wonders for running. The 590's are about $60 (I got mine here for $57 after shipping) and the ear guides cost $8 (but you get three sets with free shipping). All in all, they've worked extremely well for me

(now just to get an armband for my Zune so I don't have to hold it while running...)

I recently bought a pair of Sony MDR-AS100W, which are supposed to be one of their better sport series headphones. The thing is, they're really more like IEMs because they actually go in your ear and the headband is just for additional support or something. It's very lightweight, nice looking, and has a short cable and then an extension to make it twice as long. They also have some sort of thing going on that helps to reduce microphonics when you're moving. And they're also water resistant.
They sound decent, good enough that you can exercise without getting angry at how bad your music sounds.

Best of all, these can be found for a pretty low price (<$30). I picked mine up at the Seattle Premium Outlet Sony store after reading about it here on head-fi from another member. It was $25 there, and they had another 30% off for headphones so if you live close by, perhaps it's worth a look.
