I will be going down for a Raptor soon and wanted to know how people like the two different colors. The silver model comes with black bolts and a silver knob, not the gold pictured on the website.

I'd match existing equipment, but my preferences tend to be black over silver (except for some products like some of the Woos). What I like better than either is black with silver trim, which the Raptor black has. My choice would be easy.

Yeah, my thinking is along those lines. I did see a silver unit on Audiogon w/o the gold trim and it did look mighty nice though.

The silver looks more special to me. I hardly saw it on second hand market. If I was to get a new one it has to be the silver.
