rsa hr-2 sounds great with hd600!

the following is probably not unknown but it was to me

i heard the rsa hr-2 today. i tried some different phones and it sounded good. then i tried it with the hd600. the synergy is amazing. this is one of the best sounds i have ever heard.

not too bright. the bass goes low but is not boomy. what i liked best was the midrange. it sounds like tubes. the headstage was very large also.

if you have hd600's and are looking for their ultimate amplification i'd say this might be it. of course i didn't hear ray's tube stuff. i can only imagine how good that must be. i was not expecting to be that impressed but i was.

Haha, very nice man. I bet its partly because Ray optimizes his amplifiers using hd600, so the sound should be perfect with that headphone =].

I am personally always looking for more impressions of amps in that range from Ray, am looking at possibly getting the tube counterpart of HR2 - Raptor, that gotta be heavenly.
