hi all
basically the problem i got is i sold on a set of rs1's that i have had less than a week that i brought off a friend, i know for a fact that they haven't had more than 30 hours use before i sold them on. the guy i sold them to emailed me stating
"they sound great etc, but on listening to a particular track I noticed there's a horrible resonance/fluttering sound on the right side at about 65Hz - at first I thought it might just be in the recording, but confirmed it's really there with a tone generator program on my PC"
he is know asking for a refund off me or to get him a replacement. any suggestions on what might be the problem or how i should sort this out?

thank you for the thread i will let that person know that it is a fault design with most rs1's.
glad i sold them and not kept them for myself now.
do you know if the gs1000 have the same problem as i am thinking of getting them next

Just for clarity's sake, was the tone flutter only in the right driver when tested with the tone generator? You didn't make that 100% clear in the original post.

I would think that if the issue is wacky RS-1 resonance then it should occur in both drivers at the offending frequency (~65 Hz). If this doesn't occur, then perhaps it is a defective driver.

Hair in driver. Search for 'grattle'. It's certainly not inherent to the design. That thread is unrelated to anything near 65Hz.
