I will compare my Kramer Modded KSC75 to my RS-2, both on the same setup in my sig. This won't be long.
The KSC75 is not bad. In fact it's great considering how much it cost. But, it is not perfect, either.
Compared to the RS-2, there is a quality about it's sound that is very hard for me to touch down on, and I can only describe as "slightly dry". It has more flabby bass impact and the bass does not go as low. The mids are slightly more forward. It can sound congested on more complex passages. And instead of sounding better as the volume goes up, it gets fatiguing. The detail is also noticeably lower than with the RS-2, especially with the bass.
Overall, it's a great headphone for the price, but when directly compared to a high end headphone, it's flaws become glaringly apparent.
It will work for me while my RS-2 is having warranty service done, however, because of the typical grado quality control problems.
