I mainly listen to Hip-Hop/Rap and I'd love to have bassy headphones (open or closed)

Other headphones near or under that price range are also welcome !

DT770's are like putting two 12" subwoofers next to your head, and the speakers 6' away from your ears

RS-1's with bowls have plenty of accurate bass, but it sounds hollowed out to me.

Grados wont give you enough bass. Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro is the headphone you need.

Frankly...you need some PS-1's with flats or some GS-1000's with flats.

dt770 pro's with 6dba added to the low end makes them vibrate on my head when i turn them up.

But it probably not good for you or your phones, but fun to do every now and then.
