I recently purchased a new pair of RP-20's (predecessor to the RP-21). I was planning on buying the RP-21's but got a deal on RP-20's. Apparently they have the same guts as the RP-21's but the outside is different. They sound great and are reasonably comfortable.

Anyway, two things I've noticed:
-they creak. If I move in the slightest the band/swivel creaks. A little annoying.
-they mess with my glasses. I was hoping this wouldn't happen but unfortunately it does. The ear pads squeeze the legs of my glasses, moving them around. This makes me nauseous.

Some questions:
-Do you think the creaking will get better/worse? Is this an issue with the RP-21's?
-Will the pressure on my glasses ease as the headphone break in?
-Would new ear pads help? I was thinking about changing to the Beyer ear pads.

The other headphones I am consider are the Denon D1000's. They are listed as supra-aural and are said to be very comfortable. Perhaps this would solve my eyeglass problems? I decided to go with the Equation Audio's because of the lack of isolation in the D1000's. But if the comfort issue can't be resolved then I may have to give the D1000's a try.

Thanks,
Dave
