Tonight's Rose Bowl with No.1 USC vs. No.2 Texas should be amazing. Personally, I'm rooting for Texas as I always love the underdog. Anyone else have a pick? It starts at 5pm Pacific on ABC tonight. Time to go out for a six pack!

Me too. I always root for the team that is either not expected to win or behind. I have no problems swiching sides in the middle of the game. It is no fun to cheer for a team that is way ahead.

TROJAN DOMINANCE, fight on!

Time for National Championship #12!

On a more serious note: Any of you Longhorns worried that Vince might jump to the NFL since his hometown Texans have the #1 pick? Can't think of a much better fit, and I'm sure someone would relieve them of David Carr (NY Jets anyone?).

I concur, one hell of a game, not quite like Miami/Ohio State back in 2001 or 2002 I believe it was, but still one hell of a game. The Seminoles played their hearts out, Penn State should have dominated them but FSU played like Champs, kudos to them.

i think FSU played extraordinarily well considering they had about half their players healthy, and what players they had were freshmen. i knew, however, that the missed extra point would bite them in the ass. i can't complain, however, and considering how PSU has played the past couple years, i think that JoePa deserved the win; he is a class act. go Texas, btw

David Carr is actually pretty good, he just needs alot more protection in the pocket. One game, he got sacked like 9 times? Crazy.

My vote goes to the Texas, and they win by a large point margin too. USC struggled against several teams this year, but still won (Fresno St, Notre Dame, etc). I think Texas's 50 points per game offense will just plain outscore them

Oh I agree he has been royally screwed by the management there who has not given him any competant blockers. I watched Carr in person at Fresno State for years, and he really has a rocker for an arm. I'm sure somebody would want him if the Texans management wants to go in another direction (especially one that would probably help boost interest/ticket sales/marketing by having a "homegrown hero" like VY at QB). I think Carr would have much better chances for success on a good team than some of the other QB's in similar positions like Aaron Brooks, Joey Harrington, etc.
