Roon has Auto-EQ function for headphone now

I tried the preset on there for my VC and I would call that particular target curve 'make your expensive headphones sound like they came free in a Christmas cracker'
Too bad to hear thatI tried the preset on there for my VC and I would call that particular target curve 'make your expensive headphones sound like they came free in a Christmas cracker'
This forum may be helpful to view:Wondering what target curve they are using, Harman curve?

I agree @lifeson above. Many of the presets change the sound in an unfavorable way. I did find a nice Crinnacle preset for my Mr. Speakers Ether Flow 1.1 can. And the Innerfidelity preset sounds good with my OG Focal Clears.
Not everyone is a fan of Headphone EQ. Many of the recent objective headphone reviews do make recommendations on how to best headphone EQ the can, I've noticed. It is nice for some to have an easy way to Headphone EQ in ROON, IMO.

I tried it an hour ago and am disappointed.
Zmf Atrium with the same pad sounds worse with the preset than without EQ.
Lcd 2 EQ with Atrium open sounds about where I remember the Lcd 2, maybe not a bit duller than the lcd 2 itself.
Hd800 on Atrium open, about what I heard in the shop.
Auteur Eq with Atrium Open, also roughly what the Auteur produces but the Auteur itself sounds better than the preset.
I find the function very disappointing, even with headphones that you have yourself, especially the preset, which could be useful if you do it yourself and adjust it to your personal needs, as I think that the hardware you use has another influence on the overall result.
