Just picked up John Mayer - 'Room for Squares' the other day on a recommendation from my friend who also is a big fan of Dave Matthews Band, and he said they sound somewhat similar.
I'm really enjoying it, and I can see where the comparisons are coming from, but I like the album quite a bit (even on first listen) and I just thought any DMB fans should definitely give it a quick look.

It's virtually impossible to explain how I love John Mayer... the best thing I've heard so far in 2002. Well, it wasn't a 2002 release, but

Too bad I won't get a chance to see him live this summer.

i love that cd but there is one problem that i noticed that i really cant stand. ive noticed that he hisses really badly on his s's and ive tried this on about 5 different cd players and its definitely the cd not the source. after i noticed this i ended up listening for this in every song without trying and it became insanely annoying.
