I really love M8 sound and M9 should be the natural choice because better UI + android 10 but with the same chips dac AKM4499, dunno about amp stage but I bet they would improve it…

So I thought I wouldn’t buy another Shanling, because basically I’m not a fan boy and I want to try other brands also, but if you ask me wich dap should be on my short list…

RS10 should be really flat, RSV has a touch of warmth on mids that is magic, but never afflict detail retrieval that is presented in a unique way.
Softears Made a good job and RSV shine with Voices and instrumental music mostly with a very natural sound.

Almost zero midbass and lower mids warmth.. Mr. Rockwell would hate that!
Very good on symphonic music though.

Yup that's why of the Thieaudio hybrids the Clair has always been the most appealing for me.

They're not white they're greenish...and glow in the dark (which is why they're sticking out like a sore thumb in that pic)

That cable only comes in 3.5 at the moment which makes Holocene a natural fit with my n3Pro on tube mode.

I love and hate the glow in the dark.

It definitely doesn’t change my mind about buying or not.

I'm a hard pass on it, I like to listen after my wife has gone to sleep, I'm not envisioning glow in the dark playing well in that situation.

But on the other hand, if you are one of those people who can jog with earphones on (my extreme need for situational awareness won't yet do so), it's another way for drivers to see you.
