I use to have no problems playing lossless files on my ipod but today when I tried it it kept skipping. Is there a setting I can change to stop it from skipping?

My Zen Stone did this.

Not because it was rockboxed, which I don't think it can be anyway, but because it got fried on the charger and something got screwed up. Then I joined this site to find a new DAP.

My ipod started skipping since installing the latest version of rockbox, if I reset the ipod it usually works fine. It is annoying though!

Did it just start skipping all of a sudden, or did you alter something on it?
Like updating Rockbox, add new files, or like...

I would revert back to a previous rockbox build and see if that fixes the problem. If not, then delete rockbox and then re-install fresh. The problem with rockbox is that they continuously release untested and unverified builds. It is kind of annoying to update daily and once you do, you realize that the new build has something that used to work right, no longer work right.

I didn't do anything differently. I didn't even plug my ipod in the day before. It also skipped after a reset

Really weird!
If you use Rockbox 3.0, I suggest you try a development build. Or the other way around if you already use the latest development build.

no problems running version 3 on a 32GB CF card DIYMOD 5.5G here never had any issues with skipping whatsoever. you might want to try defragging the drive rockbox should allow for that. in fact if you unmount it you should be able to do that in windows

I did a defrag even though it didn't need one and the skipping stopped... weird.
