rockbox noob question

as the title says.....i don't know how to add music using rockbox =(
like where do you drag the files without using itunes? any replies would be helpful =/

You can put your music files anywhere on the player and then either (1) browse to them using the file browser or (2) find them using the Database. See the chapter in the Rockbox Manual entitled "Browsing and Playing" for more information.

The easy way to explain it is like this:

Attach your rockboxed iPod to your computer.
It should come up as an external hard drive/removable storage device.
Then double click on it to open it up and then you can create a new folder and then open that folder and drag and drop all your music files. Basically it makes your iPod work exactly like any other external hard drive or usb key which you can create new folders and drag and drop files into.
There is no need for any external program (itunes, etc..) to sync your music.

If it helps, my structure is as follows:

ipod\music\artist\album\song.flac

yeah, just drag'n drop. Rockbox allows UMS capabilities on all players.
