Riviera AIC-10 headphones & speakers amplifier

I have a 230v and I’m in the US. I bought a step up Transformer, in fact Riviera advised I try it first rather than shipping back to Italy to change it. I bought a reputable brand made in the US, I have no hum, no issues, and is silent.
Yeah, the transformer I use for my Japanese 100V amps is rated for 1800W and it powers my 300W speaker amps that are driving hard to drive Magnepans no problem. Certainly the same transformer but for 230V will handle the 30W AIC-10 just fine.

Here's the one I use, only $150 (the 500W model is even cheaper at $70)

I wonder if issues I've read about relate to using a 110v unit and using transformer to get to 230v possibly?

Anyway that's cool you have a way of making those 230v units operational for you in the states.

As someone in the UK it's painful some of the amazing gear you miss out on in classifieds because of voltage rating.

If there's a solution to that , that would be huge.

*now sold*

Due to pretty sudden and **** circumstances, I'm selling my AIC-10 Balanced, 230v in dark grey. Don't have more pics to upload yet than the one below, but wanted to give a heads-up if anyone is interested.

It's in excellent condition, but not mint. The only signs of wear are a few tiny specks where the top grill meets the main chassis. They are very faint though. I can provide pics of that. This was how the unit was bought. I'm very careful with my gear.

I'm in the UK. Price will be £9500 or best offer. UK delivery will be free. For quotes elsewhere drop me a PM.

For £9500, I can include the following NOS tubes:
Telefunken G73-R Black label
Mullard M8136
Mullard ECC82 Blackburn factory 1963
as well as stock JJ and a few others.

If you don't need the NOS tubes (you REALLY should) we can negotiate on price.

I also have a DHC Chimera speaker taps cable which retails at about £1100. I can do this for £700 if buying the unit as well (I'm confident that's as cheap as you'll ever see one of these).

Thanks to Convincemeaudio and gpoint audio I've managed to borrow the levante until my AIC-10 arrives. Will post some impressions soon.

Running it with wavedream signature and 1266tc/sus

Looks massive, like double the width of AIC-10 when compared to Wavedream

This will give you a idea how much bigger levante is. Its around 2.5 times the size of aic lol

Pics can't do levante justice how big it is in person, it's an absolute monster.

That’s awesome. It’s a shame the headphone out isn’t as good… and from what I hear the taps aren’t really the same either. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it tho.

I think it looks better than the AIC10. I wish they made the AIC10 look the same but scaled down. Such a pretty amp.
