I want to start ripping my CD collection into FLAC.  I am using Exact Audio Copy and I'm following this guide here.
http://blowfish.be/eac/Setup/setup1.html

I followed it and got it set up, but when I go to detect gaps, it detects zero seconds for everything, except for the first track which is two seconds.  I used all the other gap retrieval methods and detection accuracies and it gives me the same thing.  I tried it on both drives I have set up profiles for according to the guide.  I also tried another CD and it shows zero seconds for all the songs, except for like four where it shoes like 1.5 seconds.

I read that it should show a length for the gaps, less than a second for each track, so that's why I'm posting this question.  Could there have been a setting I missed?  Is it a problem that it shows zero seconds?  See here- http://blowfish.be/eac/Rip/rip3.html

The CDs I tried were Jay-z Collision Course, and Beastie Boys Anthology Disc 1.  I ripped Collision Course, and the log shows that everything is okay, but it doesn't show any length for gaps.

Should I try another program?

I tried another CD and it looks like I got the correct gaps according to the guidelines in the guide.  unfortunately, it only ripped a few tracks and the rest got errors.  I'll try again, but I guess the gap detection works, it was just those two CDs I tried.

Ah.  The guide I was using said to use gap detection and there are suppose to be gaps, I think.

Well, the third CD gave me errors, probably because it is scratched.  Let me try a few more.
