Oh man, I was just browsing the forum and I found this.  Too bad.  But this guy ruled.  Still gigging as of I think at least a few years ago.  Never once compromised his sound , trends seemed to pass over him like water over a duck's back.  Totally genuine.
 
I also love that cover of Here Comes the Sun, it's on a Rhino collection I have.  Time to dig that and a few more out.
