One of the great voices of the 20th century. He will be missed.

I'm leaving work early now to see if my order copy of "Live at Folsom Prison" has finally come in! I've just gotten in JC over the past year are so, and he was an American classic. I listened to tons of his stuff and, at least the way I see it, I finally figured out what his voice reminded me of. It's not this perfect fantastic voice. He's not perfectly on the mark and kind of rough around the edges. But he reminds me of when you go to church (if I did go to church!) and you suddenly notice someone singing behind you with a voice more powerful and rich then anyone else around. That's what he reminds me of: a sort of anyman singer blessed with a bit of a gift, possessing both power and enthusiasm and, above all, an irrefutable honesty....

RIP, JC

I didn't even listen to much of his music...but there was no denying what a talent the man was. RIP....

I was brought up listening to Johnny Cash.

He will be sadly missed by all that knew him personally and those that knew his music.

RIP Johnny
