‘People's History’ author Howard Zinn dies at 87 - TODAY: Book news
I don't know if anyone else ever read 'A People's History of the United States' but back in High School, my US History teacher pulled about 6-8 people out of his US History classes (including me) that year and gave us additional work which was to read APHOTUS and provide weekly comparative analysis between the school text book and the book. I think it was the first time I ever had a teacher of any social sciences ever tell me to question what was taught in class and not accept it as the entire truth. For that, I'm always grateful to my US History Teacher and to Howard Zinn
RIP Mr. Zinn...
