My normal portable rig is a Panasonic SL CT-470 with a Total Airhead amp, but I am going to be travelling very soon and needed something a bit more compact. I picked up two RIO flash players (one for me and one for the wife) and a 1GB card (to share) and have now entered the world of ripping music for these players. Due to space limitations and an emphasis on convenience (in this particular instance), I have decided to rip a number of my CDs into WMA files at 64kbps. I understand the loss of quality I can expect for small files, and have accepted that as a given. I am also limited in time before I travel, so I would like to use one of these two programs because they are available to me right now and do not need to be installed on an already crowded PC that is used for a variety of other applications.
My question is which should I use? Is there any difference between the two programs when ripping CDs to WMA files at 64kbps, or are they pretty much interchangable? I am willing to look at other options after I return from my trip, but not now as time is limited and I need something that will work with minimal hassle. Your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
