I think the subject thread says it. Little 1-2 second glitches (sounds like the song skips ahead 1-2 seconds). I'm using the Cali with iTunes on a Powerbook G4. At first I thought it might be a bad cable, so I took the unit back and got a whole new unit, cable, etc. Still doing it. So I thought maybe the ac power in my apartment was to blame (especially since files only transfer to the Cali at USB 1.1), so I unplugged the powerbook and used battery power, and have gotten the problem again.
I'm using the latest version of iTunes, with the latest plug-in for Rio mp3 players. I'm also using the latest version of the firmware on the Cali. Fresh AAA battery in the Cali. No other programs running on the powerbook except iTunes.
so I've found out what's not causing the problem-- does anyone have any idea as to what might be causing these glitches?
I never had this problem on an iPod, but then again it used firewire for the transfers.
Any ideas? Or is this sort of glitch just inherent in flash-based mp3 players?
thanks in advance,
