@flinkenick if I may pose a question? I bought the RSD 2.98 and it's a wonderful looking cable. Did you ever try it on the S-EM9? I know you've been a fan of this cable and I'm trying to decide whether that is a better pairing with the S-EM9 or if I should use a pure silver (perhaps a bit brighter) cable? Is the 2.98 too warm for Earsonics IEMs, or would you say that's a good pairing?

I know I could also just listen to it and decide, but my ears are failing me at the moment and a second opinion would be great. I'm not sure I'd even pass a blind test of this vs. my Ted Allen pure silver cable!

Looks like Sammy already finished my RDB. Went with the orange and carbon fiber look, what do you guys think?

I wish I could literally hibernate for like a week and wake up with them on my doorstep. Feels like Christmas morning lol.

How are the ergonomics of the MK3?

It is certainly the most pliable of the cables I have from Sammy. Terminated  2.5mm TRRS & far infrared 2-pin. I really like the build quality. I am going to do a review on the cable and compare it to some of the others I have here.

Hi Collin, the S-EM9 is very susceptible to cables. It kind of depends on which direction you would like to go, and basically what music you listen to. I found the 2.98 a very nice pairing with the S-EM9 for band-based music like rock or whatever. However, I've always used the S-EM9 for pop or EDM, so I prefer to use a cleaner silver-like cable. The 2.98 is warm and has a good tone, but it's not not the most airy. With a brighter cable the S-EM9's stage is completely clean, and its level of precision is very hard to beat. The imaging, separation, and resolution make it incredibly detailed, combining analytic precision with a fun, engaging bass.

Thank you! I finally found someone to re-terminate my SG 2.98 to balanced, so I can now compare it directly with my Ted Allen pure silver cable. I guess I'll just see which one sounds best to my ears :)
