I'm 90% ready to buy the Hope VI. Listened to some open back Alesandro MS2 earphones today with foam cups and honestly, the sound was very nice but the cups were hot. My ears don't get along with foam!!LOL! So how is the heat factor with the VI? I got hot within minutes of having the foam cups on). Thanks ahead!!

Thanks for answering!! Can you explain where you got your " flatpancakevelorpads/window foam" or how you made them, or a link that you discussed them??? Is this what you are referring to?? velour pads: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/191505617431?lpid=82&chn=ps

Thanks!! So if the leather is hot or too warm then is the velour cooler? Which of those would fit over the Pandora pads?? I also heard that cotton covers are comfortable and cool but can't find any links to them, I think they are DIY. http://www.head-fi.org/t/483180/if-pleather-makes-your-ears-sweat-read-this

u have to take off the pleatherpads to install the velorpads...not slip over. :p

i didnt read about the cotton covers..

naturalleatherpads are generally cooler than plastic/artificial/pleathers

velorpads are generally the coolest.

i have a roll of this at home..sometimes i would cut out a short length n stuff it under the back end of the pads to angle the drivers.

A reply I got from FAD regarding balanced cables:

Thank you for contacting us again and sorry for the delay in replying.

Regarding to the balanced cables for the Pandora Hope, we're going to release them in around 6 months.
We're sorry for keeping you waiting.

Thank you.

Best regards,
final audio design

>>your message<<

Will you offer balanced cables for the Pandora Hope VI? I have the Astell & Kern AK100ii portable audio player and it comes with a 2.5mm balanced audio port. It uses a TRRS pinout:

T / R / R / S
R- / R+ / L+ / L-

I know you offer replacement cables but is it possible to order custom cables for your headphones since it comes with unique locking mono jacks that I can't seem to find parts to build my own cable.

My Pandora Hope VI is on its way via Tenso to Va.   I'm very excited and already ordered the Shure 840 pads.   I've never owned a full size and expecially excited about being able to use them portably in my house through my X5 and maybe take to the library or on vacation.   For those interested in current pricing/shipping to US:  I paid Amazon JP through credit card $460.37, credit card conversion fee $13.81  and Tenso shipping  $50.16.   Total $524.34.

Where do you get velour M50x pads, the only ones I know of are leather?

Got the Hope VI within 7 days of ordering from AmazonJP, all the way from Japan via Tenso, extremely fast.   Figure they must have been flown in than driven, but prob not flown in by the new Solar Impulse 2.

Anyway, I did a quick listen then burned in for 30plus hrs, and well, they sound like FAD, like my Heaven V, but bigger sound,  same characteristics others have shared- and I love the bass.   So far using the pads they came with, but I do have the Shure 840 to swap out.    Special thanks for all the support you guys gave me to shell out half a grand(My only other big purchase was the Aurisonic AS2 which was a Disaster!!)   More impressions to come!!
