I have the latest model. I will tell you that the longer cord does not charge it well. I can't get it to charge above 96% with that cord, but the short cord that comes with the player without ordering the extra charges it beautifully with a proper plugin

I don't stream.  If internet service goes out, you're screwed.  I like owning my own files in lossless.  I have two 3 TB drives and two 6 TB drives with all music and Graphic Audio audiobooks backed up and stored at separate locations. Graphic Audio is big with truckers; voice actors, digital sound effects, and cinematic music.  It's a movie in your mind!  Deathlands rocks, so does Smoke Jensen the Mountain Man. These books kick butt on the QP1R!

We are similar. We use the same volume and do not stream. All my music is on four hard drives and one device (QP1R).

Pelican 1120 in blue. It is the perfect depth to lay the QP1R on its side in the case. The red container is my JH Angie IIs. The 1120 is $24.89 on Amazon and it comes in five different colors.

I bought the case that included the foam and then I removed the little cubes to fit. The foam is etched into small 1 cm x 1 cm cubes.

The lid and bottom are foam lined too.

If you know my posts, then you know this question isn't silly.  Can the case fit in a pocket?  I would like something to store my Angies in besides my pocket.
