I just purchased the Sandisk M250 2 gig version

Right out of the box I installed the newest firmware and switched it to MSC mode

Sound: Very impressed with the sound. It doesn't sound like the average Portable CD player, but to my ears, it sounded really good.

Interface: The user manual should have been more clear as to what buttons did what when navigating the menu, but I understood how to use the interface in less then a minute. Does that make me a geek?

Casing: It does feel like a cheap 'toy' because its plastic. But frankly, that's not one of my main concerns. I care more for how its operates, then how it looks.

I really like the AAA battery feature.

I got the e260 - the user manual for it is also very sparse, and confines itself to the basics. Why Sandisk could not provide a more comprehensive manual is beyond me, but since there were some glaring firmware issues with the initial release, maybe the tech support does not really know that much about the player...
