I reversed the TLE2426 in my META42. I had the thing on until the EL2001 in the power supply got mighty hot (smoke,) then I figured it out pretty quickly. I would just replace both parts, but I don't have spares, and now I've reversed the TLE2426 and I get +-9V, but the power is noisy.

I measured about .3V noise on the scope, and I can hear it in my phones.

No real question yet, because I'm still working on it, but any thoughts?

Nevermind, I think it was a bad protection diode. Hiss-free now.
