I just received the HA-02 and completely failed to realize that it only has a XLR input for headphones.  I bought a W1000 to mate with it, but it has a 1/4" plug.  What's the best method to preserve sonic integrity - reterminate the W1000 cable to XLR or would any generic 1/4" female to XLR male adapter work well?  If the former, who should do it?

Thanks.

Wait, isn't this a single ended amp? Does it have XLR inputs on the back? The plug is a locking plug are you sure it's XLR?

It's definitely single-ended on the back.  Maybe I just confused myself as I just tried to plug the 1/4" and it does actually fit, but damn, it sure as hell look like a XLR input.

They probably use the combo jack as it possibly has better contact pins than most sockets do.

If you only use ATs, it's a nice amp.  It's lousy with high-impedance cans though.

I love combo plugs, they look awesome. Shallow? Shoot me. Headamp and CEC also used them on their balanced rigs, though all the new rigs have the non-combo 4pin XLR, a good idea in in its own right.
