Lately I been in the market to purchase some Sennheiser HD-590's. Looking at every store I can, searching for not only the lowest price, but also for a reputible seller to buy from. Here are my findings. If you have a story to tell about a particualar store, do tell, same goes if you know of a source not listed here.

My sources...

Yahoo! Shopping

ResellerRatings.com

Epinons.com

MySimon.com

MSN Shopping

PriceGrabber.com

Ebay.com

Headphone.com (HeadRoom)

I recomend you search for the best prices from all these sources. I'm sure you'll find a fantastic deal.

Searching for the HD-590

Company = $$$ (S&H)
Etronics.com = $163 (free)
Unlimited Supply.com = $207 (free)
TigerDirect.com = $199 (aprox. $9)
Half.com = $210 (free)
#J&R.com Music and Computer World = $199 (free)
#BesyBuy.com = 199 (free)
#Crutchfield.com = $249
#GoodGuys.com = [currently out of stock]
*Ebay = Average price is 159 (???)

*With Ebay, there is never a real true price, hell it's an auction site. But the average for the HD 590 usually is 159 new, even when it's lower it usually ends up selling for that amount.

# are the stores I personally recomend.

Out of those stores, BestBuy, Crutchfield, and J&R.com are the highest rated. Crutchfield has the highest costumer server ratings, BestBuy has very good customer server but when you run into a problem it usually takes a long time. J&R.com have pretty good overall ratings from many sources. With J&R.com if you order by phone, and when your talking to a sales person, you can usally get the price even lower then the emailed price you got. Etronics have above average ratings, but 1 in 5 people tend to have problems with them. That figure is by no way scientific, it's just a ball park number made from reading many many MANY reaviews from the sources I stated above. GoodGuys by far has the best customer service, the sales people really know there stuff and there super friendly. You get to try out everything at the store if you wish. Highly recomend them if you don't mind paying the expensive retail prices.

Please add to this list if you can... Thanks.

www.audiocubes.com good site and people to deal with. Good for stuff you can't get here, or costs too much here. Audio-Technica and Stax to name two.

http://home.t-online.de/home/meier-audio/ Jan Meier is one of the nicest and best people you'll ever meet in this field. He has been very accomodating and gone far and above what was expected of him in my two dealings with him.
