UE's sound level attenuator is basically 100ohm resistor adapter, P to S adapter is 75ohm.

I saw something like this ETYMOTIC ER4P TO ER4S RESISTOR ADAPTOR (3.5MM PLUG) - eBay (item 290331040469 end time Aug-11-09 18:59:42 PDT) also I have spare Sound level attenuator from UE, but I´m not sure it is same thing.

Or do I even need this for Desktop Amp? And how does it change sound(if your impendace get higher that must have some efect.)

thanks for advice.

You don't need it just to drive your earphones through your desktop amp.
