I am *this* close to buying the beyerdynamic DT250-80, however I have one reservation about the purchase. The cord, where it enters the earphone, seems to create a rather large nub that protrudes down toward the shoulder.

Those of you who own these 'phones, do you experience any discomfort or annoyance with this feature?

Thanks.

Never bothers me, never did. My girlfriend uses the 250-80s now and the plug doesn't bother her either

The coiled cable can be a hassle at times, but you can get a non-coiled cable if the coiled one bothers you enough.

I have no neck, I am constantly bumping my shoulder with the connector. It is by far the worst design I have ever seen.

The phones sound great for what it's worth.

I know how you feel. I have been torso-less for some while now.

I have a 20" neck, 56" chest. I look like I spent the last 10 years in the gym taking roids. Though I never lifted a weight in my life.

IMPOSSIBLE to find a dress shirt that fits.

No neck = No Beyer 250-80's.

Lol, you should have said "I'm buff and I'm the stuff." :p

Beyer should offer a different type of cord...

Fenster,

No problems with the Beyer 250-80s nub. I'm not the biggest guy in the world, but I do have a neck and a full torso

. The Beyers are built to last. I took them to NYC for the hi-fi show. I slammed them into my backpack, no problems. I've owned them for close to 2 years, my son has dragged the Beyers through the condo a few times. They still work perfectly nub and connector still intact.
