@FiiO, Hi James. I ordered the F1, Dec23, after you announced the winners. According to AliExpress, it is still stuck in China. Any suggestions, or just more patience is needed, lol.

And again, congrats to all of the winners.

Thanks.

Dear ngoshawk,

Because of the Christmas and coming Spring Festival, there are too many packages in the post office. So the shipment may be slower than before and have some delay. Please wait patiently .

Best regards

What will the price be on these when they are out? Or did they already release and I missed something?

They are currently on sale on AliExpress, going for about $20.

About five minutes into listening to them and can already tell they're a great value. Much better than the Xiaomi Piston 3. It has a nice, wide soundstage and a mid-forward presentation that resolves a solid amount of detail considering the price. There is a veil over the sound wherein they don't sound perfectly clear which may go away with time, but the vocals on these are very well-represented. They're excellent for $20, and I'd be interested in trying a higher-end pair from FiiO as I'm sure it's not fair comparing a $20 IEM to $300 over-ears I'm accustomed to. They are definitely an audiophile-worthy pair of headphones, and would make a great introduction for somebody looking for sound superior to bundled buds.

Any plans for a high-end wireless pair?

I agree, they sound quite ok with included tips. But comfort is a bit subpar. Switching to foam tips make them bearable, but also feel more veiled. Pity :frowning2:.

But still a steal for $20!! Kudos!!

I'm about an hour into my pair....pretty decent so far through my iPhone 6+ and the Shanling UP. I really dig the cable...it belies its price quite well. And the cable tie is straight from Dunu and the Titan's. A nice touch.

Sound aspects will have to wait until I have time!

So far I'm enjoying the Fiio F1's with my LG Leon smart phone, Liking the way it sounds. It's not bright at all for me but very smooth in the highs while still having good details,The bass in impactful at least from my phone which I'm loving right now in some songs while others it isn't. I really like the over all sound of it all, the fact that it feel like the sound is outside of your head. I also own the Nuforce HEM2 and I see my self using the F1 more then the HEM2 due to these being much more  comfortable and doesn't stick out like they do, including the ear tips being much more use able in my ears. Many times the HEM2's ear tips slide off and get stuck in my ears, while with these I don't see that happening. The F1's doesn't even hurt my ears after an while of use like my HEM2 which is also an major good thing about these.

The only issue I have which is only minor is the marking for which side the earbuds go in, as i hardly saw the R on the side with the control pod, the first thing I did was put that side in my right ear, then realize I had it in the wrong ear. Either color coding the sides or making the marker easier to see would be very useful in the future.

My thoughts on the FiiO F1. Quick summary; below average sound with above average build. For any Canadians that applied to try these out, were not selected, but are still interested, hit me up with a PM.

The FiiO F1 are an excellent value. Well-built construction, quality silicone ear tips, and a sound that punches above its price class. Detailed and unencumbered though slightly inorganic-sounding mids, a punchy bass that isn't over-emphasized or overly tight, and a very well-represented treble that brings out more finer detail than expected in a $20 pair of earbuds.

More importantly, they have re-opened my ears to the potential of IEMs
