I would like to buy an upgrade from my current creative ep-630. Ideally, I am looking to spend around $100. I listen to all types of music, from classical to Sinatra to rock. Lately, I am mostly into classical.

I am considering the Klipsch Image S4 or the Etymotic HF5.

Please advise! Would either one offer me a noticeable upgrade from the creative ep-630?

s4's are a very good choice, good thump yet good mid-range and adequate treble. you wont be satisfied with anything that comes from etymotic after getting used to ep630s thump.

Anything would be a noticeable upgrade from EP630s. I second (third?) the RE0 recommendation except that you may not be used to accurate, high-quality bass after the EP630s, so you will need some time to adjust.
