Can anyone tell me what the big deal is with Cerafine caps? I've heard that Sanyo Os-Cons or Panasonic FC's are better caps so why wouldn't more people be using those in their diy amps? Also, does anyone have a data sheet on the Cerafine's?

The nice thing about Cerafines is that they were the first readily avaliable, high quality electrolytic cap. They are well known as a result and they do sound good, compared to most electrolytics.

I should add that I don't mean to imply they are neccesarily superior to other good caps. Just better known.

The Cerafines are relatively large, which probably allows ELNA to avoid many compromises that go into standard capacitors, where compactness is desired.

The Panasonic FCs aren't "special", as far as I know. The only thing that recommends them is that they're the highest performance cap in Panasonic's line, and Panasonic parts are readily available from DigiKey. You can do a lot worse than Panasonic FC, though.
