Does anyone know of any websites or merchants where you can buy a single DVD from a boxset? I need to replace a disc from a set I have. I already tried the distributor and they were no help and there's currently nothing listed on Ebay for it.

You did buy it so it is techically legal for you to download it on a torrent site, if you can't find a hard copy anywhere.

Agreed. Download the iso image of it, and burn it to a DVD.

I'd get it from netflix and burn a copy, and never feel the tinyest ounce of regret over that.

Indeed, rent it and copy it or just download it!

Unless your specific set is also sold in parts (like some BBC series where each volume is sold separately along with a complete collection) I don't think there is a single merchant of any sort that could sell a single disc from a set.

It happened when our The Two Towers special edition got lent out, and one of the movie discs got lost, so I feel ya.

Good luck!

You bought it you own it, download a replacement. Just keep the broken disc around in case the rozzers come knocking at your door.
