Hi Qualia's owners,

Koji (from EIFL) told me that do not exist replacements parts (pads and cloth headband) for the Qualia 010, is it possible? What do you think?

Best!

ya, I asked the people at the Tokyo Qualia store when I was there, and they told me that they don't have any replacement parts readily available for the earpads (and probably other parts too). but probably that is the case since the thing is still pretty new to the market and they haven't seen the need to provide them. anyways, if there is a need to replace, I'm sure they would be more than happy to help you out in some way, since the brand seems to be pretty customer service oriented.

I'd like to have a pair of repacements pads and one of that cloth in the headband. I also need to know HOW we can to replace the pads... do you know this? About the pads I'd like to pint them in black. How can I clean the red pads?

Best!

The answer I got when I called the Qualia contact # was that you couldn't buy spare parts. But the 010s have a 5year transferable warranty they will repair them if they break.

I am sure once the 010s are out awhile you will be able to get pads, but not available yet from what the rep told me.

I think it is pretty hard to change the earpads yourself. haven't attempted to take them off myself, but it seems to be tightly fixed to the cup and difficult to replace, so maybe it needs to be sent back for replacement to be done by a professional. the mesh though seems easily replacable.

one thing I know that they do sell are replacement cables.

are the red earpads starting to show wear and discoloration already? mine seem to be fine, though I don't know if it is from the blue color or from me not using it too much.

I use my cans for 4 or 5 (or even more) hour every day. The pads are fine, but the color is going for a darker aspect... nothink so important, but I'd prefer (even for this reason) a black pair... and front part of the pads were you put the fingers when you take the cans need to be cleaned...

What is that little screw inside of the cans?

Best!

Nik, you're probably the only one that has the 010. You can't get much direct advise on them here. Try calling Qualia as previously suggested. I really doubt they have different color pads available though.

Actually, there are four Qualia owners posting in this thread.

Nik - I'll have my secretary give the Qualia store a call on Monday. I've gotten the usual full "customer is king" service from them on other similar requests. Though I'm not optimistic about being able to get these items separately. You just want a replacement headband net thing (actually I want this too) and red pads?

In case they ask, what size is your Qualia? Small?

Best,

jefemeister, that's hilarious.

did I mention a Qualia 010 paired up with the SDS-XLR is very good? currently listening to them on my BlockHead though. another good combo, except for it being bright at times. I wish there was a less bright setting, rather than the bright and brighter settings on there.
