Hi,

I own the HD590 and HD595 and use them both for various reasons.

the pads on the 590 are worn and need replacing, any advice?

The 595 is not that important but are there any replacement pads that are more comfortable as I find the 595 OK, but not as comfortable as my HD590.

I have found these but, tbh they are exactly the same as the original ones? also on that place I have found replacement ear pads for the 590 which cost a small fortune at near £30 :/ http://www.hifiheadphones.co.uk/senn...odid-1877.html

Thanks

If I were you, I would contact the Sennheiser distributor or branch in your local country by either e-mail via their website or by phone. They will stock the pads and most likely will be cheaper than purchasing the parts through a dealer.

Price of Sennheiser pads vary very much depending on model. My HD590 pads had deteriorated badly (soft, flat, porous), and the new ones really made a difference: proper distance to the ear with thicker and firmer material - the sound improved noticably. I recommend all HD590 owners to make the investment, the foam ages and finally turns to a black dust that will eventually find its way into the delicate driver assembly (HD590 diaphragm is vented).

Available for €24.90 at:
SENNHEISER HD-500/575/590-OHRPOLSTER - U.K. International Cyberstore
