Hi!
I managed to break my Sennheisers.
There is no sound on the right side anymore.
Can someone tell me how to open them or if it's possible to repair them myself please?

Yes. The cable seems fine. I also tried two different amps. Unfortunately the warranty ran out in February.

If you have not tried it yet I'd suggest swapping the right & left cable connections to the ear-cups to see if the problem moves with the wire or ramains with the driver.

If the fault reamins on the right side in spite of swapping the wires then the rear grill is easily pried off using fingernails or a spoon. This will allow you to see the connection springs that contact the terminals on the wire's plug pins. They have been known to loosen and lose contact.

There are also a pair of hair-thin wires going from the spring contacts into the driver . . . visually inspect that these do not appear broken.

If you have a VOM you can test the resistance of the driver in question which should measure 300 ohms if I recall correctly.

Thanks people!

I opened the faulty side and I saw the driver had popped out of place. Also the thin plastic covering it was dented but I could pull it back with a bit of adhesive tape.
It's fine now.

Did you throw them againt the wall?? How can driver come out of place?? If the driver surface was dented, i'm afraid it can badly influence the SQ, no matter that you've pulled it back...

The cable was lying on the floor and i had shoes on. I didn't notice that I stepped on the cable and so I pulled them by the cable on the floor. It was pretty violent.

The driver was a bit dented but at the centre it's not noticeable any more. The corrugation is still dented in one place though.

Now I'm going to make sure the cable is not on the floor any more.
