Hi,

I have just got an PA2v2, which sounds very great out of my ipod nano, but it amplify the noise coming from my audigy 1 soundcard.

The thing is, I have a Live! drive, from a previous sound card. If I take the headphones output to the amp, it sounds very clean, no noise even at highest volume when there is no music. But if I put it on the rear or front output on the back of the card, it's impossible to listen to the music, as there is just to much noise.

Is there anyway to mute that noise, because connecting the amp to the front makes to much cable hanging.

I've given up on inboard sound for desktop pc's. Seems like I find noise most times. I either use the optical out from the inboard soundcard or usb to an outboard card.

At one time I thought I could reduce the noise floor cranking up the sound card to full volume then attenuating the signal before went to the external amplifier, but that only seems to work for a constant low level noise that does not increase with the sound card output.

I've tried to lowered the sound of the line out, but I only need to put the amp louder, and it ends up the same.
