I started saving thread links to useful discussions on Head-Fi and copied below from a post by meithkiller. Can anyone fill in the gaps for searching posterity? And why keep it at Sonys? Post the other classics (i.e. Denon, Panasonic, etc.).

Also, does anyone know of a good one stop shopping for photos of vintage pcdps? I know the Legendary PCDPs gallery has many broken images already, and the Vintage pcdp gallery fills in allot of gaps. Thanks.

Is the 25S really from 1992?

I thought it was '89 vintage

You may be right Duncan. I was just going by the date on the bottom of my 25s, April 1992. I believe mine came from a Silicon Salvage auction.

looking at my own D25S, it was born in April 1992...

Strange, maybe... because these were for an airline, they had an extended product cycle or something...

I'm not sure

The D-25 came out in 1988-1989 I remember reading it on some Japanese page before that showcases all the Sony Discmans... that page doesn't exist anymore tho...

I have finally got around to updating the dates that have been provided to me. I do realize that I am missing literally hundreds of pcdps. While I do have around 70 pictures that I have still to post, those will not come up for a while due to my senior year work load.

Everyday, I have a big choice to make: Calculus homework or Head-fi...

Up to till now, it's been pretty much a tossup

Oh, and the updated page can be found HERE
